Arabic news channel Aljazeera sends instant breaking news headlines in English and in Arabic

Al Jazeera (JSC), the award winning independent Arabic news service carrying news scoops from inside Iraq, has launched a service to transmit breaking news headlines via text messages in English, as well as in Arabic, to over 130 countries worldwide.

The text messaging service gives you instant access to the news as it happens throughout the war-zone. This is the first time JSC has offered the option of direct news in English, as well as in Arabic. People can subscribe to the service, by signing up through Aljazeera's website at mobile.ajazeera.net for a monthly fee of just $5.99

The service is hosted by PervasiveEdge, the provider of content distribution solutions to wireless-enabled devices. PervasiveEdge, which counts CNN among its clients, is able to reach to some 500 million mobile phone users in over 130 countries via text message.
